Sarah Palin Addresses Rumors About Herself, Campaign

advertisement

Sarah Palin didn't ask for the clothes.

Sarah Palin knows Africa is a continent.

Sarah Palin, the first-term governor of Alaska and losing Republican nominee for vice president, says so, in an interview with FOX News Channel's Greta Van Susteren airing tonight at 10 pm EST.

In FOX's On the Record, taped in Alaska, Palin attempts to refute stories that disgruntled members of the McCain-Palin campaign have been spreading about she and her family going on a shopping spree for the $150,000 in clothing that the Republican National Committee bought for them, or the contention that she didn't know from countries when it came to Africa and the nations that are parties to the North American Free Trade Agreement.

"I did not order the clothes,'' Palin tells Van Susteren. "Did not ask for the clothes...

"And never, ever did I talk about, well, gee, is (Africa) a country or is it a continent.''

Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

At the time Palin allegedly said Africa is a country, she was discussing the countries of Africa. What is so hard for people to understand about this?

allegedly she is running for 2012. fat chance of success! is she gonna run her big lipsticked mouth until then, good grief. she has no sense of brevity, ya know, less is more. i like a bit of mystery in women. i now know way too much about this slag. god, this woman will never shut up! keep yakkin', i was almost bored til today...

nothing she has to say is meaningful, but she just keeps on keepin' on. what a... never mind.

actually there may be some wonderful fodder for those of us that will need some levity to balance the sensible way the country is gonna run under obama.

She didn't "ask" for the clothes.  No, she just gleefully took them, price tags and all, and wore them.  I've never heard of a governor who didn't already have her own professional clothing.  As for thinking Africa is a country, we have only her word, which isn't all that good, IMO.  This is a woman who was incapable of thinking of the name of a newspaper.

Well, I trust Greta Van Susteren more than I trust most talking heads, and she said on her show tonight that she was told by someone who was at the meeting in question, that Palin never said Africa is a country.

and palin is an idiot, owing a ton of money she can't account for... 2012, my butt.

It's hard to imagine a more stupid , irrelevant comment than the one you made.
